Welcome to KCP

We believe:
  • Education is a family process. Children and their parents both benefit from our cooperative learning environment.
  • Children learn through creative play, becoming chefs, dancers, scientists, storytellers, woodworkers, musicians, paleontologists, and artists as they combine activity and discovery with imagination.
We offer:
  • Three age-appropriate classes for preschool children and their parents.
  • A hybrid (virtual/outdoor in-person) learning model as recommended, with hopes to resume our regular three room learning space program in the future.
  • Parents learn side by side with their children through involvement in their children's education.
  • Monthly parent education meetings cover topics such as self-esteem, sibling relations, learning development, or boundaries, and allow parents to share concerns and ideas.

From the Parents

What will you and your child experience when you enroll at KCP?
Read what parents have to say:
"What a great experience KCP has been for my daughter and myself! We both love the mix of parent involvement and independence. Having a personal work day and getting to interact with other parents and teachers has allowed closer relationships/friendships for both myself and daughter. There is a comfort in knowing your child is truly cared for by the teachers and other parents of this school. I highly recommend our play based co-operative school!" - Malaika Silliker

"This is our family's 4th year and second child at KCP and we couldn't be happier. When my oldest son went off to Kindergarten last fall, I knew he had gained everything he needed to be successful in school at KCP. The friendships he formed are still his friends today and the amazing teachers are always asking how he is doing in school. Co-op is a wonderful way to transition your child from home-life to school and independence. A wonderful experience for the whole family." - Janna Snider

"This exactly what I was looking for in a preschool. Affordable, play-based, wonderful teachers, and a great community of families. Since you volunteer in the classroom every week, you get to know the other kids as well as their parents/caregivers, so I feel very comfortable leaving my child there on the days I drop-off. It's a very supportive and encouraging community. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my child." - Robyn Selman

It is challenging to predict what September 2021 will look like in regards to COVID safety protocols, meeting at school and/or meeting virtually. We are all hopeful we will be back to "normal" in some way.  We CAN tell you about what our program looks like now and all the fun activities kids are engaging in.
