About Kirkland Co-op Preschool
At Kirkland Co-operative Preschool (KCP) we feel that education is a family process. Children and their parents both benefit from our cooperative learning environment.
Our children learn through creative play, becoming chefs, dancers, scientists, storytellers, woodworkers, musicians, paleontologists, and artists as they combine activity and discovery with imagination.
Against a backdrop of activity and toys, KCP offers three age-appropriate classes for preschool children and their parents. Parents learn side by side with their children through involvement in their children's education. Monthly parent education meetings cover topics such as self-esteem, sibling relations, learning development, or boundaries, and allow parents to share concerns and ideas.
Our Sign Is Getting a Face Lift
This summer our handcrafted wood sign will be getting a facelift. In true co-op spirit, many hands will be coming together to re-paint the logo, set new posts and re-mount the sign. A big thank you to everyone playing a part! Our banner will stand temporarily, so watch for our new sign coming soon.
Summer Park Play Dates
Each summer KCP organizes and hosts summer park play dates on Wednesdays. This is a great way to stay connected to classmates as well as make new friends. We will meet at a new park each week. Email your parent leader or the registrar for the schedule.
July 4th Kirkland Children's Parade
KCP teachers, students and families walked in the Kirkland Children's Parade on July 4th. Decorated bikes, wagons and candy for parade viewers made the morning lots of fun! To learn more, "like" Kirkland Co-operative Preschool on Facebook.
