Learning Space
NOTICE: Currently, KCP is offering a hybrid learning model that offers flexibility to adapt to changes related to COVID-19. Read more about it here. Some day we will be back in the class room fully enjoying the learning style KCP preschoolers have come to know and love!
KCP prides itself on being a school with no computers and no battery-operated toys. Our toys are playdough, dirt, rocks, paint, blocks, trucks, Legos, books, dolls, dishes, dress-up clothes, and many other imaginative and sensory toys. These toys and the many other activities children experience at KCP provide self-driven imaginative play opportunities for them to promote cognitive, social/emotional, and motor development.
KCP classes also organize regular field trips to offsite locations such as pumpkin farms, Kenmore Airport, Kirkland Performance Center, the Kirkland Library and downtown Seattle. The children are given the opportunity to experience public transit, tour a local fire station, and meet community helpers such as police men/women and postal workers.
